In preparation for their summer season, Dodge City’s Boot Hill Museum is hosting a job fair on March 23 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The job fair will be held at the museum and all departments will be represented for applicants to learn more as they apply on site.

Boot Hill Museum is looking to hire people for their Gift Shop, the Beatty and Kelley Restaurant, Old West Photo Parlor, historical presenters, as well as bartenders for the Long Branch Saloon, gunfighters, and dancers and performers for the Long Branch Variety Show.

“Boot Hill Museum is ready and excited for our upcoming summer season,” said Assistant Director Lynn Johnson in a press release. “We have so much to offer our guests and community in 2021.”

The World-Famous Boot Hill Gunfighters Show and the Long Branch Variety Show will open May 29, with an opening celebration planned for May 6, as well as a community-wide celebration on May 8.

Additionally, with the STAR Bond Expansion completed, guests can enjoy nine new permanent exhibits.

People who cannot attend the job fair in person can fill out an application by going to, by calling 620-227-8188 or by stopping by for an application.

Applicants must have turned 16 by May in order to be considered.
