City of Dodge City Announces New Director of Parks and Facilities
DODGE CITY, Kansas—The City of Dodge City welcomes Adam Lockard as the new Director of Parks and Facilities. Lockard’s hiring comes after an extensive search and hiring process the Human Resources office held to prepare Troy Brown’s retirement at the end of 2020.
Lockard comes to the City of Dodge City from the Kansas City Area and previously worked as the Director of Facilities at the Woodside Health and Tennis Club in Westwood, Kansas, where he oversaw multiple departments, including construction and landscaping and maintenance. He has experience working at aquatic facilities as week as additional recreation facilities.
“I saw this job as an opportunity for me to lead a large team amongst a wide vast of offerings within Dodge City,” Lockard said when asked about his interest in Dodge City. “This community has a lot of opportunity with improvements and upgrades within its parks and facilities areas.”
Lockard’s first day with the City is January 25, 2021, to be introduced to the Parks and Facilities Department and become acquainted with his new position.
