Dodge City Water/Utility Building Catches Fire Early Thursday Morning

A fine start to a Thursday morning, when the City of Dodge City Utility/Water building located at 703 W. Trail caught fire around 4 a.m. on April 15.

 

 

“There were no injuries as a result; however, the total damage to the building is unclear at this time,” said The City in a community press release.

 

 

The Kansas State Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

 

Still as a result of the damage, Public Works and Dodge City Regional Airport staff have been transitioned to City Hall for temporary offices.

Citizens and customers are asked to call 620-225-8100 for their service inquiries as the existing number is not currently in service.

 

 

The City of Dodge City is working to ensure that there are no service interruptions during this time.
