Dodge City’s FIRST Radio Station returns to the Air

Rocking M Media, a Kansas owned and operated company with radio stations across Kansas, is excited to announce that 1370 KGNO has returned to the airwaves! KGNO first signed on in July of 1930 at 1210 on the AM dial and 100 watts. In June 1933 the frequency moved to 1340 where it remained until March of 1941 when the station moved to its current frequency 1370 on the AM dial. The KGNO studios have been located in many locations over the past 90 years, including time in the Lora Locke Hotel, Dodge City Daily Globe building, a small house on west Park Street, a small house on North Avenue A, the former STE Communications building (currently the corporate office of Pride Ag Resources) the Village Square Mall, and now at 107 Layton St in Dodge City. 1370 KGNO ‘The Information Station’ plays host to some of the biggest names in talk radio, including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Brian Kilmeade. KGNO also features Ag news and markets from the Kansas Farm and Ranch Radio Network, Headline news from TownHall.com and classic county music overnights and weekends. 2021 will see the return of a local news and information show as well as the addition of an FM translator, which will allow the station to be heard on 1370 AM as well as an FM frequency which will be announced at a later date.
