Garden City Man Dies After Gunshot To the Head

Officers with the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to 1404 W. Fulton St. Apt. 4 on March 7 at around 7 p.m. to a call that a man had been shot in the head.


The man was identified as 32-year old Victor Cabrera of Garden City.


Upon police discovering Cabrera with a gunshot wound to his head, he was transported by Finney County EMS to St. Catherine Hospital and later flown to Via Christi Hospital in Wichita where he died.


The investigation as to who shot Victor Cabrera is on-going.


The Garden City Police Department is requesting community assistance during the investigation.

A Garden City man died at Via Cristi Hospital in Wichita, after being shot in the head Sunday evening at a Garden City apartment complex.
