Garden City Man Murdered; GCPD Searching for Suspects

A Garden City man, 33-year-old Eraclio Hernandez Jr, died after suffering a gunshot wound on May 24.


Monday night, at around 11:05 p.m., Garden City Police Department responded to the 1200 block of N. 9th Street in reference to a man shot.


Upon arrival, officers found a man, identified as Eraclio Hernandez Jr. sitting in the street with a gunshot wound.


He was transported by Finney County EMS to St. Catherine Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.


The investigation is ongoing.


The Garden City Police Department is requesting assistance from the community in order to track down suspects.


People, who might have witnessed the incident or have information related to it, are asked to call the Garden City Police Department at 620-276-1300.
