In partnership with Western Plains Medical Center, LifeSave 22 based in Dodge City, Kansas will debut their new Airbus helicopter on July 15 at the Western Plains helipad with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Lifesave 22 will share their insights on how the new aircraft will be used in life saving interventions across southwest Kansas.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will start at 9 a.m. and is free to attend and will be attended by local caregivers, Chamber of Commerce members and EMS personnel.
People will be able meet the LifeSave 22 crew and get a firsthand look at the new aircraft while learning how it’s clinical and safety features will benefit the southwest Kansas community.
Refreshments will also be provided.
“From providing trauma care after an accident, to administering clot-busting medications after a major stroke, the helicopter will improve outcomes for patients needing lifesaving care,” Adam Beeson of Amendola Communications for Air Methods in a press release.
Western Plains Medical Complex is located at 3001 Ave. A.
The new Airbus AS350 / H125 will be on hand for photo opportunities on the helipad from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. unless there is a medical emergency requiring the aircraft to be in service.
“Access to healthcare during a medical emergency is a critical need for every community,” said Beeson. “We are proud to serve a vital role in making certain that during an emergency, our friends and neighbors are rapidly provided the medical care they need.”
