Protection Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Clark County

A motorcycle crash in Clark County resulted in the death of a 61 year-old-Protection man on May 1.

 

The crash was reported Saturday at 1:15 p.m., about five miles west of Ashland on US-160 highway.

 

The Kansas Highway Patrol crash log reported that the driver, Gregory A. Norton, was westbound when his 2005 Yamaha XV1700 went left of center, entering the north ditch and struck an embankment at a field entrance.

 

Norton was thrown from the motorcycle and both came to rest in a field north of the highway.

 

Norton was pronounced dead at Ashland Health Center.

 

According to the KHP, Norton was not wearing a helmet.
