Rep. Tracey Mann Addresses Weather-Impacted Energy Bill Concerns

Judd Weil February 22, 2021
Kansas’s 1st Congressional District Representative Tracey Mann released the following statement regarding the current challenges facing Kansans on Feb. 20:
“As we all know the last several days have brought extreme weather and record breaking low temperatures throughout Kansas and many parts of the country.
Kansans did and are doing everything they can to keep themselves and their families safe. We saw unprecedented demand for electricity and natural gas while supplies and delivery systems were challenged.
Although glad that warmer temperatures are returning, I am now concerned with reports of extremely high future utility bills.
I am communicating with federal, state and local entities and keeping a close eye on the situation. Everything in my power will be done to help the great people of the Big First get through these extraordinary times.”
