This spring, Shelter Insurance companies of Dodge City is awarding $2,000 scholarships to four Dodge City High School graduates.
This scholarship is through the Shelter Insurance Foundation, and is sponsored and partially funded by Shelter agents Jason Putnam, Micheal Mariche and Troy McCain.
The scholarship funds can go toward tuition, fees, or campus housing for any course of study beginning the fall after the recipient’s high school graduation.
The foundation makes payment directly to the college the recipient selects.
A committee of local high school officials and community leaders will select the local recipient after considering each applicant’s scholastic achievements, educational goals, citizenship, moral character and participation and leadership in school and community activities.
The name of the recipient will be announced at the close of the school year.
Interested students can pick up their application from their principal, high school counselor or a Shelter Insurance agent.
Applications are due by March 31.
