Six Finney Counties Died from COVID-19 Last Month

Finney County Health Department revealed on August 16, they received confirmation of six Covid-19-related deaths within the last month. These deaths included both county and non-county residents between the ages of 60 and 90.


All the individuals in question that died from COVID-19 had underlying health conditions.


Four out of the six were hospitalized at St. Catherine Hospital, while two were residents of a local long-term care facility.


“At this time, we are able to confirm a total 53 Finney County residents have passed away as a result of COVID-19,” said Finney County Health Department in a press release.


Finney County Health Department is imploring people to take preventative actions to protect themselves and their community.


“Wear a cloth facemask and practice social distancing, six feet from other people when in highly populated areas whether indoors or outdoors,” said the Health Department.


They also remind everyone to manage proper hand hygiene and to sanitize frequently used items.
